Work Experience
Pianist Evan Mounce is a répétiteur with Calgary Opera, interim Chorus Master for the Calgary Philharmonic Chorus, pianist for the Cantaré Children’s Choir, Music Director at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and past Resident Music Director for Cowtown Opera. As a vocal coach Evan worked closely with k.d. lang, preparing her for her 25th anniversary tour of Ingénue across Canada.
Training
Evan has trained at Opera on the Avalon, St. Andrew’s by the Sea Opera Workshop, the Vancouver International Song Institute, the Centre for Opera Studies in Italy, Opera NUOVA and the Mountainview International Festival of Song and Chamber Music. Evan holds a MMus from the University of Toronto in saxophone performance and currently studies with Kathleen van Mourik.

Evan also loves making music with their 3-year-old son Elliot. They are currently working on recording "Hot Cross Buns". Release date TBD.
